Euro-zone services PMI eased in October
The final services PMI in the Euro-zone recorded a drop to a level of 53.70 in October, higher than market expectations of a fall to a level of 53.30. In the previous month, the index had registered a level of 54.70.
German services PMI fell in October
The final services PMI in Germany recorded a drop to a level of 54.70 in October, higher than market expectations of a fall to a reading of 53.60. The index had recorded a level of 55.90 in the prior month.
German factory orders unexpectedly climbed in September
On a monthly basis, the seasonally adjusted factory orders in Germany registered an unexpected rise of 0.30% in September, higher than market expectations for a drop of 0.50%. Factory orders had climbed by a revised 2.50% in the previous month.
US JOLTs job openings declined in September
JOLTs job openings in the US eased to a level of 7100.00 K in September, higher than market expectations of a drop to a reading of 7009.00 K. JOLTs job openings had registered a revised reading of 7293.00 K in the prior month.
Canadian building permits advanced more than expected in September
On a MoM basis, building permits in Canada recorded a rise of 0.40% in September, compared to a revised drop of 1.10% in the prior month. Markets were anticipating building permits to advance 0.30%.
