UK Nationwide housing prices fell in October
In the UK, the Nationwide housing prices dropped 0.90% on a MoM basis in October, compared to a flat reading in the prior month.
UK manufacturing PMI dropped less than expected in October
In the UK, the Global/CIPS manufacturing PMI declined to 46.20 in October, compared to a reading of 48.40 in the previous month. Markets were expecting the manufacturing PMI to fall to 45.80.
US ISM manufacturing PMI declined less than anticipated in October
In the US, the ISM manufacturing PMI dropped to 50.20 in October, compared to a reading of 50.90 in the prior month. Market anticipations were for the manufacturing PMI to fall to 50.00.
US JOLTS job openings advanced more than expected in September
In the US, the JOLTS job openings climbed to 10.72 million in September, compared to a revised reading of 10.28 million in the previous month. Market expectations were for the JOTLS jobs openings to record a rise of 10.00 million.
US construction spending unexpectedly rose in September
In the US, construction spending unexpectedly rose 0.20% on a MoM basis in September, compared to a revised drop of 0.60% in the prior month. Markets were anticipating construction spending to record a drop of 0.50%.
