ANVS has 11 million outstanding shares. They can sell 30-40 million shares for $3-4 each and raise $100-120 million. What has AVXL done? The same thing, but slowly. In 10 years, the share count has gone up from 25 million to 80 million. If you count the reverse split, the share count has gone to 320

They are merging with a public company that is in the process of uplisting to a senior exchange. It's cheaper and faster to go public this way.
