Fourth quarter hits company record of $53.4 million

The Corona-based company Thursday reported earnings of $53.4 million in the fourth quarter of 2009, which equates to 57 cents per share. It meant the company made a profit of just shy of $209 million, or $2.21 per share, for all of 2009.

Both the fourth-quarter and full-year results were records for Hansen. Net sales in the fourth quarter rose to $290 million, a 14.4 percent increase, and sales for the full year were $1.14 billion, 10.6 percent higher than 2008.

From July the current price appears to be at the bottom of an ascending channel.

Look for good things as Monster continues to take market share.

Bought some more at $33.80. Missed the low of $32.95 but I am pleased at the price.

The stock fell 10% because of a three-cent forecast miss.

Yet, sales increased 7% and their Monster energy drink continued to take market share, thanks to its distribution deals with Coca Cola and Anheuser-Busch.

HANS has presaged the market and fallen 14 bucks from its high... and I am underwater by a good chunk.

I guess today we will get a new 52 week high. Great earnings report yesterday. Wait for the summer months and full distribution to kick in! Awesome!

I really like hansens. The stock has nearly reached the price it was at last year. They have a strong company and I think they have a lot of potential.

Holding it is just not much $ to be made at this time.

Despite the market in general, HANS is holding up pretty well.

The market's beating up this good stock. You got to any major super and you see Monster on the shelves and in the check out line. I ask guys why they're buying and they say they like it better or they like the price.

Either way, Hansen is selling beverages.

I sold HANS yesterday at $28, for a small profit.

IMO, the class action lawsuit will affect the share price until it is resolved, and I do not see worthwhile gains in HANS.

Seriously, I am a Red Bull drinker, as on mainland Europe I have not found Monster yet. But trust me, as soon as I can put a hand on one of these cans I will for sure try it. If I like it, well, then I will make my daily contribution as I am not a coffee drinker and therefore allow myself 1 can of Red Bull per day. So, thats about 365 cans per year. Come on Hansen's ship them over! 365 cans for me!

Unfortunately, I jumped in couple weeks too early, so still waiting to break even. It's not far anymore and I am sure my break even point will be surpassed big times in the coming months. Ship those cans to Europe, I will drink them all!! LOL
