From a technical perspective, the share price still searching for a bottom at this time.

However, imo one could start in steps to buy.

Anyway, that's my style of buying.

My first look at the chart of IBIT.
IBIT share price had a Triple Bottom Breakdown on 18-Dec-2024
I think the bottom of this decline is not known at this time.
I would wait for price to settle/reverse or a bottom forms.
Good to see many appear to own, and or are interested in this stock. GLTA

Further approvals are needed before the funds list officially, he wrote. “This is just one stage of approval, the OCC [Office of the Comptroller of the Currency] and CFTC [Commodity Futures Trading Commission] has to approve as well before they officially list,” he explained. “The other two don't have a 'clock' so not sure when they'll be approved. as far as BTC and its ETFs, wait for it, many gonna grow slowly over time.

I’ll look into it. I have recently moved stuff around on account of the shifting background I see in the economy and how crypto will be integrated into it. Another words ETFs are secure but gains may be elsewhere. I am now heavy on tokens and metals, and mining ETFs. There are other Moss who are heavy into crypto ETFs that can post stuff.

Correlation between IBIT and BITO is 1 so there shouldn't be much of a difference in volatility https://portfolioslab.com/tools/stock-comparison/IBIT/BITO
I'm not a day trader so I can't speak to trade by trade volatility between the two.
I guess anyone buying BTC directly or indirectly would be reducing the availability, last time I checked ETF's were holding about 4% of global supply

I would tend to think BITO is good for day and swing trading and comes with volatility. Technically not reducing the amount of BTC as it is not a spot ETF and has management fees. Direct investment in IBIT is reducing the available BTC while giving you an indirect/direct hand in BTC. I am assuming....

BITO has a dividend yield of 15.64% and paid $4.62 per share in the past year. The dividend is paid every month and the last ex-dividend date was Apr 1, 2024.

i dont know anything about BITO, since you loaded some, what are your thoughts and reasons behind it? All i know is IBIT is very stable and not impacted by derivatives, yet that i know of.

If u don’t know what this means, u should find out. They have to go somewhere now that China and other Sovereign’s are not buying them. Something I now have to watch for in auctions. Crypto as a sector are all tied together. Very clever people in deep state Country Clubs.
