Carlyle Raising up to US$737 Million via Selling Shares in China Pacific Insurance - Term Sheet

HONG KONG--Private equity firm Carlyle Group LP is raising up to
US$737 million by selling shares in China Pacific Insurance (Group)
Co. (2601.HK), according to a term sheet seen by Dow Jones
Newswires on Friday.
Parallel Investors Holdings Ltd. and Carlyle Holdings Mauritius
Ltd., two units of Carlyle Group, are selling 220 million China
Pacific shares in a HK$25.5-HK$26 per share range, the term sheet
said.
The offer price represents 3.3%-5.2% discount to China Pacific's
last closing price of HK$26.90 Friday, it said.
Credit Suisse is handling the placement, according to the term
sheet.
