SEC suspends trading of 26 companies, cites 'corporate hijackings'-- Guess who is 1 of the 26. . .

March 13, 2008
WASHINGTON - Federal regulators on Thursday temporarily suspended trading of 26 companies, saying it appears the firms have taken the identities of defunct or inactive publicly traded companies in a tactic called "corporate hijacking."

The Securities and Exchange Commission said the suspensions, which start immediately and last through March 27, are part of the SEC's stepped-up effort to address fraud involving microcap securities.

"Today's trading suspensions are squarely aimed at putting the market on notice about the risks associated with acquiring non-operational or 'shell' companies, and with investing in microcaps," said Linda Chatman Thomsen, director of the SEC's Division of Enforcement.

The SEC said it ordered the suspensions because of questions regarding the accuracy of information pertaining to the companies status as publicly traded. The regulatory body said certain persons appear to have taken identification numbers and ticker symbols assigned to defunct or inactive public companies by falsely representing themselves as authorized officials of the original publicly traded corporation.

The commission warns investors and prospective investors that they should carefully consider the suspensions, and other information currently available or subsequently released by the companies.

The 26 companies whose trading was suspended today are: Andros Isle Development Corp.; Asante Networks Inc.; Beluga Composites Corp.; Cobra Energy Inc.; Complete Care Medical Inc.; Disability Access Corp.; El Alacran Gold Mine Corp.; Extreme Fitness Inc.; Gaming Transactions Inc.; Global Equity Fund Inc.; HealthSonix Inc.; IQ Webquest Inc.; JSX Energy Inc.; Kensington Industries Inc.; Kingslake Energy Inc.; L International Computers Inc.; Let's Talk Recovery Inc.; Mobilestream Inc.; Mvive Inc.; Native American Energy Group Inc.; Paramount Gold and Silver Corp.; Regal Technologies Inc.; Remington Ventures Inc.; Straight Up Brands Inc.; Transglobal Oil Corp.; and Turquoise Development Co.

I addition to today's "wonderful" news about trading on LKRV being suspended, I also noticed that the following news releases no longer appear in the I-hub news releases for LKRV's ticker symbol:

If you go to LKRV's website, the articles still exist (at least for now they do):
http://letstalkrecovery.com/RSSreader.php

I'm not sure what to make of all this, but judging by the fact that we haven't heard anything from the company in a LONG time, things aren't looking too good at the moment. Hopefully they have some sort of explanation for this, but I'm almost afraid to hear what that may be...

stockmeister stockmeister 16 years ago
LKRV: 60,300 shares have traded since 2/4/2008. Talk about thinly traded, sheesh....

This is a low float stock, and these shares appear to be extremely tightly held. Still waiting for a progress update with regards to how the business is doing in relation to their newly revised business plan. Would be nice to hear about some real revenue numbers as well.

They've done a poor job of keeping the investing community in the loop on things that actually matter. The PRs that we actually do get from them are fluffy to say the least...

I got this contact information right from their website. If it's not correct, they should really consider updating their website as well as giving the investors an update on the financials...

I will try to contact someone with that information.

From recent PR's the IR is:

I haven't really tried to contact the company to be totally honest with you. It's not like they could tell me anything that I probably don't already know without making it public first.

They really have done a poor job of keeping investors informed about what's going on. I too would like to see how things are going financially and if they are making any progress with regards to following their business plan. The only news that I have seen since December 6th was what I had found on my own concerning the "Let's Talk Recovery" radio show. That wasn't really from the company either. At this point, I feel that they owe us an update.

Regarding their IR, this is what I had found on their website

I am still looking for a update on the business plan.

According to the Financial Forcast from the "business plan" released on September 25th, LKRV should be profitable this month.

I'd like to see an update to that plan,,, does anyone know if they were able to meet any of the goals?

11 million float here. It won't take much to push it.

I've seen sleeper stocks like this absolutely explode for no good reason in the past, so I've been hanging onto this for a while now and snapping up a few of the subpenny shares as they become available. Actually I was kidding? I don't have a clue what this company will do. I just remember when it was being pumped on IH at 18 cents and the week later fell to 2 cents....

So I just keep a eye on it!

I guess I wasn't aware that the float was high enough to justify doing a reverse split. With the volume being as low as it is, it seems as though there aren't a whole lot of shares floating around out there as it is. A reverse split would only make the liquidity situation with this stock worse.

It seems as though this stock just has no visibility. No matter what they put out for news, there isn't much in the way of buying interest. Perhaps if they would put out news with a little more substance (revenue projections, for instance) they would attract more interest...

Rehab Expert, Let's Talk Recovery, Inc., Begins New Leading-Edge Sobriety Treatment

8:00a ET December 6, 2007 (Business Wire)
Let's Talk Recovery, Inc. (Pink Sheets:LKRV), a provider of recovery media and services, proudly announces its first PROMETA(R) client, bringing to fruition the Company's partnership with the Hythiam corporation and beginning a new chapter of effectively helping addicts find freedom and sobriety.

The PROMETA(R) Treatment Program is a unique proprietary combination of pharmaceuticals designed to restore proper brain chemistry and greatly reduce drug cravings in long-term addicts. Boasting almost unheard-of success rates, early research at leading universities and clinics nationwide suggests that this new medical approach may revolutionize the recovery process.

Let's Talk Recovery, Inc., which manages residential treatment centers, is one of the very few companies licensed to provide this new leading-edge treatment approach. Combined with a proper therapeutic regime, PROMETA(R) provides addicts one of the best opportunities to help them successfully recover. Let's Talk Recovery, Inc. continues to demonstrate its commitment to provide real solutions that will build its reputation globally as the leader in recovery, as well as provide even better opportunities for personal transformation and change to millions of addicts who need effective treatment.

Administering PROMETA(R) on behalf of LTR is Dr. Stephen Groth, MD., Medical Director of Triad Treatment Center. Dr. Groth is highly respected in recovery circles. As a graduate of both Harvard and Minnesota Medical School, he served for over 14 years as Director of Emergency Services at Anaheim Memorial Medical Center. Besides his clinical practice, Dr. Groth mentors recovering addicts as Publisher of "California Together," a popular recovery-oriented newspaper.

As more PROMETA(R) research studies are published within the coming year and the treatment's success becomes more well-known, Let's Talk Recovery, Inc. expects its treatment center business to mushroom as struggling addicts around the world contact the Company's telephone hotlines seeking recovery assistance.

This week's milestone - beginning a medical treatment protocol with their first PROMETA(R) client - signals the beginning of a new, exciting development within Let's Talk Recovery, Inc.; one that demonstrates to shareholders and would-be investors the company's determination to expeditiously execute its revised business plan and meet its 90 day goals. Let's Talk Recovery, Inc. expects to expand quickly in name recognition and revenue through its advertising and administration of the highly effective PROMETA(R) Protocol. Nov 29, 2007 07:00:04 (ET)

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Nov 29, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Enthusiastically pitched by industry expert, Dan Kiburz, a new short-form radio show, Take Back Your Life is receiving rave reviews by radio program directors intent on capitalizing on broadcast radio's newest trend in effective talk-show formats.

The show's producer, Let's Talk Recovery, Inc. (Pink Sheets:LKRV), a provider of recovery media and services, today announced Take Back Your Life with Life Coach Brad Watson will debut nationally December 1, 2007 on 25 FM and AM radio stations including KSBN AM 1230 in Spokane, WA; KSEV 700 AM in Houston; KVCE AM 1160 in Dallas; and WBIX in Boston.

While not separately listed on station program guides, the short format talk show airs instead as a "stand alone" spot within another national show.

Having successfully sold short-form shows in the past, Mr. Kiburz of Phoenix Broadcasting Co. asserts Take Back Your Life is one of the finest short-form shows that he has ever heard. With extensive industry connections throughout the United States, Mr. Kiburz expects Take Back Your Life to continue to gather extensive momentum throughout the coming months.

As a result, Take Back Your Life will provide the Let's Talk Recovery Radio Network (LTR) with its most effective branding effort to date. (The company's primary website is plugged at the end of every program.) Additionally, LTR looks forward to earning its most lucrative advertising revenue by selling strategic ads and sponsorship to treatment centers and other recovery providers nationwide.

Phoenix Broadcasting will continue to partner with Let's Talk Recovery, Inc., marketing both the short-format talk show as well as the popular new internet radio show, Let's Talk Recovery with Joey Buttafuoco. Both shows are expected to help establish the Company as the national leader in Recovery-based media.

"This is a significant and timely achievement for this stage of our company's growth," said Let's Talk Recovery CEO, Dennis Coder. "These affiliate networks allow us to move well along the path to achieving higher revenues without incurring higher costs. Greater market share means greater shareholder value."

Today's announcement is only the first of a series of steps under management's guidance (and new business plan) that demonstrate the Company's commitment to providing improved shareholder value.
