--Czech billionaire and entrepreneur Daniel Kretinsky and his holding company EPH are interested in acquiring a stake in Thyssenkrupp's steel business, Der Spiegel reports.

--Kretinsky's company could also come forward as an energy supplier for Thyssenkrupp in addition to acquiring the stake, the magazine reports.

--EHP declined to comment on the matter when contacted by Dow Jones Newswires.
