                                Issue of equity


As reported in its interim results released on 12 June 2006, Bionex Investments
plc ("the Company") announces that it has issued and allotted 20 million new
Ordinary Shares of 1p each, pursuant to a placing at a price of 2 pence per
share.

The new Ordinary Shares will rank pari passu with the existing Ordinary Shares
of 1p each in the Company and trading of these shares on AIM is expected to
commence on 19 June 2006.

The total number of Ordinary Shares in issue following the placing is
177,925,634.
