Buffalo Wild Wings Inc. said Tuesday that two board members were resigning and that three new ones were replacing them, as the company continues to face activist-shareholder pressure.

The chicken-wing restaurant operator said directors Dale Applequist and Warren Mack were resigning immediately, advancing their planned retirements.

Activist investor Marcato Capital Management LP said publicly in August that it is seeking substantial changes at the chain, including the addition of new management and improvements in food quality and service.

The three new board members are Andre Fernandez, CBS Radio president, Hal Lawton, senior vice president of North America at eBay Inc., and Harmit Singh, Levi Strauss & Co. chief financial officer.

A representative from Marcato wasn't immediately available for comment.
