--Bunge is finalizing a merger with the Glencore-owned agriculture trader Viterra, Reuters reported Thursday, citing unnamed sources.

--The tie-up between the two rivals would create an agricultural trading giant worth more than $30 billion, including debt, according to Reuters.

--The deal is expected to be announced next week, though there is a possibility things could fall through, the unnamed sources told Reuters.

--The two sides declined Reuters' requests for comment.
