TrustPoint solution meets Redline's
uber-secure requirements and brings improved network performance to
Redline's industrial wireless networks
TORONTO, Oct. 2, 2014 /CNW/ - Redline Communications
(www.rdlcom.com) Group Inc. (TSX: RDL), a leading provider of
mission critical wireless networks, today announced that they have
entered into an agreement with TrustPoint Innovation Technologies,
Ltd. to incorporate TrustPoint's mSecureTM SDK and
corresponding digital certificates into the Redline Virtual Fiber™
product line. Redline will also use TrustPoint's mCA™ Certificate
Authority, a managed public key infrastructure service hosted by
TrustPoint, to issue and manage the digital certificates for
Redline's industrial wireless machine-to-machine (M2M) systems.
Redline has incorporated the highest levels of security in its
wireless product line, and because TrustPoint's mSecure provides
Redline with the ability to build highly secure network
applications using Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC), Redline can
maintain its uber-secure requirements while increasing its network
performance with faster security certificate processing. ECC,
recognized by industry standards, provides high-levels of security
and improved network performance for M2M communications.
"We won't sacrifice security for performance, but TrustPoint
allows us to have both," said Bojan
Subasic, Redline's vice president of development and
production. "TrustPoint demonstrated that they could meet our very
exacting requirements - with their products and services we'll
maintain our ultra-high security, and provision devices onto our
customer networks more quickly than in the past."
TrustPoint's mSecure SDK makes it easier and quicker for Redline
to implement a highly secure network for their customers.
Trustpoint's mCA Certificate Authority enables Redline to integrate
and automate certificate issuance and management directly into its
provisioning processes and allows Redline customers to maintain
central control over the identities and authorizations within their
networks.
"Redline is clearly a leader in the use of security on their
networks, and now as they embrace our solution, they can be
confident that they are providing their customers with the highest
level and best performing encryption and authentication solution
available," said Sherry
Shannon-Vanstone, President and CEO of TrustPoint. "Redline
is able to provide their customers the critical public key
infrastructure needed for an end-to-end highly secure network, with
the highest performance implementation available."
