Normabec Mining Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:NMB)(FRANKFURT:N6M) ("Normabec" or
"the Company"), through its wholly owned Mexican subsidiary Minera Real Bonanza
S.A. de C.V. ("MRB"), is pleased to release the latest update of the resource
estimate on its Real de Catorce project located in the State of San Luis Potosi,
north-central Mexico.

This update incorporates new drilling information on the Veta Madre structure as
well as surface sampling on the Refugio-Ave Maria structure. The parameters
used by Micon in its June 2008 NI43-101 report were utilized. The main ones
are: minimum mining width of 1.5 metres, cut off grade at 100 g/t Ag, grade
capping at 605 g/t Ag for oxides and 1,500 g/t Ag for sulphides. On Veta Madre,
inferred resources were obtained by extending indicated and measured polygons by
an additional 50 metres. On Veta Refugio-Ave Maria, inferred polygons were
drawn by using a 50 metre radius around channel sample lines. The grades listed
above do not include any polymetallic credits derived from the lead and zinc.
The management of Normabec is quite pleased with the quick development of the
resources at Real de Catorce. The potential to increase it further remains
excellent especially along the immediate extensions of the past producing veins.
It shall be remembered that drilling so far targeted only one vein; Veta Madre,
although some of the drill holes did intersect the Refugio vein in a mostly
mined out and confined area. The potential of that structure (Refugio-Ave
Maria) is excellent as demonstrated by surface sampling results published this
summer (August 14th 2008).
This NI43-101 compliant resource estimate up date was carried out in house by
Pierre O'Dowd (P. Geo, VP Exploration). Most of the measured and indicated
resource had already been published in a previous independent NI43-101 estimate
(carried out by P. O'Dowd and audited by Micon International, June 2008). This
update mostly addresses the inferred resources as calculated on longitudinal
sections of the Veta Madre structure as well as the Refugio - Ave Maria
structure. Mr O'Dowd used the same methodology and parameters as discussed in
the June 2008 report.
Samples were prepared and assayed at Chemex Lab of Guadalajara, Mexico. Methods
used are Au-ICP21 for gold and ME-ICP41 for multi elements including silver.
Detection limits for Ag are 0.2 - 100 ppm. Silver values higher than 100 ppm
are submitted to method AG-AA46 consisting of aqua regia digestion with ICP-AES
or AA finish (up to 1,500 ppm Ag). QAQC was performed using two silver
standards and one blank being introduced alternatively (every 25 samples).
Duplicates are being performed by the laboratory.
This press release was reviewed and approved by Pierre O'Dowd qualified person
as defined by NI 43-101 of the Canadian Securities Administrators.
Normabec is a junior mining exploration company with a portfolio of advanced
projects including: the Pitt Gold project in Quebec and Real de Catorce Silver
project in Mexico.
