Γ–zgΓΌr Ekin Felek said the following: β€œWe have observed that when we add 3% of borophene into a standard graphite-based battery system, specific capacity increases by 20 to 30%, and that when we add 10% of borophene to a supercapacitor, specific capacity increases by up to 75%. In addition, borophene considerably shortens recharging time while extending discharging time”.

Does anyone know if Black Swan or any other public Graphene stocks are (also) planning on working towards Borophene? --
"Is there anything better than graphene?"
(There's a new, improved two-dimensional material in the lab. Borophene, the atomically thin version of boron first synthesized in 2015, is more conductive, thinner, lighter, stronger and more flexible than graphene, the 2D version of carbon.). May 7, 2024

Just to share more on the matter.. ( no pun intended) 🙂. According to available information, "Universal Matter" is the primary company currently utilizing the flash Joule heating method to produce graphene; this technology is largely based on research conducted at Rice University, where they use the process to turn plastic waste into graphene, sometimes in partnership with companies like Ford Motor Company.
Key points about flash Joule heating and graphene production:
Process:
Flash Joule heating involves rapidly heating a carbon-based material to a very high temperature using a strong electric current, effectively "flashing" it into graphene. --

And what is flash Joule heating?:
To produce graphene without using graphite, researchers primarily utilize chemical vapor deposition (CVD), where a carbon-rich gas like methane is exposed to a heated metal substrate (like copper) to grow graphene layers directly on its surface; other alternative carbon sources like coal, biomass waste, or (even plastic) can be used as feed stocks through techniques like flash Joule heating to create graphene without relying on graphite as the starting material.

Now, I want to say something about growing Graphene out of plastics.. so I am going to share one article. -- see next post. It's interesting food for thought and to consider. Take it however.

The shorter reply: Yes, I agree with you... Lol. "but the stock is still considered a penny stock at .50 cents @ share. That can be problematic for some investors ..not to mention it keeps them on the OTC. There was also mention of 'warrants'." --- The 8:1,... I could go either way..not sure if fan or not based on it being a Penny and how I view, what I read/understand. If it were major exchange, I may see differently. Warrants.. well.. I need to more book knowledge/experienced feedback. 🙂

9Coastal 9Coastal 3 weeks ago
So.. I am a novice by comparison.. but.. I am fully wondering why they want to.. it (may/could/will) benefit the stock by (artificially) by increasing the pp/share... which could attract investors who normally don't buy at low (very low) stock prices.

I also believe proceeding with the 8:1, "could" be viewed as a negative, as in the company struggling. I don't know if I like jostling the stock with a reverse at this point... It may also damper investor confidence.. (it could also surprisingly spawn something good from other unknowns to come.)

And warrants .. I agree with the knowledge that it could provoke or create price 'swings' (large price swings) due to the warrants (leverage) effect. So.. even a small movement in a Penny stocks price could cause a large % change (in their warranty price) causing a quick rise or decline in their stock value if allot of warrants get exercised. But hey, that could be fun if one is savvy, willing and has experience.

Also, will exercising those warrants dilute the shareholders value? Likely. It would create new shares, and could affect the stocks price... downward. As I have read... "adding warrants can exacerbate volatility as investors exercise their right to buy shares at a fixed price". "When warrants are exercised, the company issues new shares", it can "put downward pressure on the penny stocks price." "If the stock starts to rise in value, the warrants can become very valuable".

I don't have personal experience buying warrants, only the knowledge I have read/learned.. To proceed.. "being that warrants have "a contractual right to buy a certain amount of stock at some point in the future, at a price agreed upon now." "In effect, it's a pure upside play with no downside risk prior to exercise." I also agree with a statement I read.. "If a company issues a large number of warrants, it might be perceived as a sign of financial weakness, which can further depress a stocks price". It will also "depend on market sentiment and investor perception regarding the company's future prospects. Also, a reverse split does not inherently improve the company's financial health.".

Truly.. everything depends on each individuals view, knowledge, past experience risk tolerance, time and whether one wants to "play" ball or not (I have little of the above compared to savvy investors time and experience in it).

And truthfully after all DD is said and done, actually.... I could go either way on this one.. no matter what I read up on about it. I will be interested to dig further and stay abreast. I would rather see real progress and profit sooner than later. We just may. Sometimes we have to 'ride' the bus whether we like it it not. I will still buy in. I believe companies and investors can benefit from a reverse stock split, but can also signal possible underlying issues.

For this stock.. I'm thinking not. I believe they are in it to win it and have the goods to do it. We shall see. If this sector weren't Graphene (and soon Borophene) I may not jump in sooner than later. But I'm in. (Very sorry for the long version & analogy).. to a very basic inquiry.

Appreciate the tidbit. TY. And to expand from the link... "Black Swan just closed a $6M financing round to scale up production from 40 to 140 tonnes annually. Their new hire Dan Roadcap managed $45M in sales at his last gig - bullish move bringing in someone who actually knows how to sell. They got 7 products already being tested by international clients and zero debt on the books. The graphene market gonna be worth billions but right now Black Swan trading at penny stock levels - classic WSB asymmetric bet right here. This thing either moons when graphene takes off or goes to zero trying".

Yes. And this particular licensing agreement with Trinity College may prove profitable. ?? I'm unfamiliar with Trinity College and the work they're doing with Graphene. I plan to look into who they are and the work they're doing. I am more familiar with the work Rice University has done.

It can't be overstated what a huge game changer Graphene is.. but being able to mass produce it as Rice University has been able to do at cheap costs AND use problematic landfill "waste" such as rubber tires, plastics, foods, etc. etc.. as the feedstock to produce it is arguably on the short list of ultimate inventions of the 21st century.

👍 So .. this is an easy interesting product, nay? I want them to get into "Borophene" though. Actually.. I think they are one of the public stocks that do. Am patiently watching & following similar, public industry stocks to see if they proceed, expand, reach success, thrive, implement & endure .. like FEAM, ZENTEK, FIRST GRAPHENE, BORON ONE, IONR.. etc. I don't like to see Turkey's SUNUM having the monopoly on Borophene. For over 40 years now I believe. Impressive. We are waayyyyyy behind. Unless maybe the private companies, labs and universities are somewhat hush. It may be 3-10 years before fruition. Or not. Competition and survival on the world stage may necessitate expediency. All eyes on the industry. 👍

** About the company

Black Swan Graphene Inc. is focused on the large-scale production and commercialization of patented high-performance and low-cost graphene products aimed at several industrial sectors, including concrete, polymers, Li-ion batteries, and others, which are expected to require large volumes of graphene and, in turn, require large volumes of graphite. Black Swan aims to leverage the low cost and green hydroelectricity of the province of Québec as well as the proximity of the eventual production sites of Mason Graphite in order to establish a fully integrated supply chain, reduce overall costs, and accelerate the deployment of graphene usage.
------------

Here inlies their problem. There are now technologies that do not require Graphite to make Graphene. It's my opinion these guys are headed for a major setback. This is not a suggestion to buy or sell this stock .
