West Melville Metals Inc. (TSX VENTURE:WMM) ("West Melville" or the "Company")
has released assay results from its initial drill campaign at the Isortoq
iron-titanium-vanadium project in southern Greenland. The drilling was designed
to systematically evaluate one kilometre of strike within a 15 kilometre strike
length of mineralised troctolite confirmed by previous drilling completed by the
project vendor.

Program Highlights:

-- 2,684 metres of core drilling completed
-- 11 holes to a maximum depth of 344 metres
-- All holes show strong mineralization over long intervals
-- Significant assays include 180 meters of 42.8% FeO; 12.4% TiO2; 0.17%
    V2O5
-- Drilling delineates 1.0 kilometre strike length

"The Company's inaugural drill campaign at Isortoq has exceeded our expectations
in terms of both grade and consistency of the mineralised body," stated Rory
Moore, West Melville's President and CEO. "These results demonstrate that the
Isortoq Project is comparable in quality to ores currently being processed for
iron, titanium and vanadium products in South Africa, Russia, China, New Zealand
and Australia."

A total of 2,684 metres of core was drilled in 11 holes. Holes orientations were
a combination of alternating vertical and angled holes along the strike of the
mineralized body. Angled holes dipped approximately 45 degrees and were drilled
from the edges of the body towards the center. Drill fences were positioned
approximately 100 meters apart, evaluating 1.0 kilometre of strike of the
troctolite (host rock containing Fe, Ti and V mineralization). To view a drill
plan map and sections relating to the drill program together with graphical
representations of the assay results please visit the Company's website at

Isortoq Project

The 31,000 hectare Isortoq Project is a large iron-titanium-vanadium prospect in
southern Greenland that was discovered by Hunter Minerals Pty Ltd. of Australia
while conducting a regional nickel exploration program. Previous drilling has
confirmed a potential strike length of 15 km with the mineralised body being
open in both directions. The property is favourably located on a deep, ice-free
ocean inlet on the temperate southern coast of Greenland within 60km of Narsuaq
and 100 km from Narsarsuaq International Airport. The mineralization at Isortoq
is similar to the Mapochs deposit in South Africa, which has been successfully
exploited for a number of decades by Evraz Highveld Steel and Vanadium and its
predecessors. Bench scale beneficiation tests completed by the project vendor on
Isortoq core samples gave average concentrate grades of 62.6% FeO; 19.1% TiO2
and 0.32% V2O5 with acceptably low levels of penalty elements sulphur,
phosphorus, silica and aluminium. These are positive indications that support
the future economic potential of the project. West Melville is in the process of
purchasing a 100% interest in the project from Hunter Minerals Pty Ltd.

QA/QC

All core was processed on-site in a secure facility. Core was sawn in half and
all troctolite intersections were sampled and sent to an accredited laboratory
in Canada via sealed Sea-Can cargo container. All samples were subject to ICP
and XRF analysis. XRF analyses were reported to the Company as Fe2O3 wt.% and
converted to FeO wt.% for dissemination purposes. The conversion factor from
Fe2O3 wt.% to FeO wt.% is 0.8998%. West Melville's quality assurance and quality
control procedures include the systematic insertion of blanks and standards into
the drill core sample string as well as quarter cutting core for duplicate
analysis. Disclosure of a scientific or technical nature contained in this
