DISCLOSABLE INTEREST

In  accordance with section 198 of the Companies Act 1985
(as  amended) the Company received, on 30 November  1999,
the following notifications:

Abingworth  Ventures L.P.  has a beneficial  interest  in
544,177 ordinary shares representing 3.99 per cent of the
issued share capital of the company.

Newby  Holdings  Limited  has a  beneficial  interest  in
765,928  ordinary shares representing 5.62 per  cent.  of
the  issued share capital of the Company.  These  shares,
previously  registered in the name of  Excelsis  Limited,
are now registered in the name of Newby Holdings Limited.
