Expert Missy Escribano will Guide Advisors
on Becoming a Resource for Clients and Families as Those Aging
Increasingly Seek To Remain at Home
Securities America, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ladenburg
Thalmann Financial Services Inc. (NYSE MKT: LTS), announced Missy
Escribano, RCC™, CAPS, as the keynote speaker for the 2015 Super
Women’s Summit on June 7, held in conjunction with the Connect
National Conference in Austin, Texas.
A licensed advisor, Escribano noticed a lack of conversation on
helping clients who wished to remain in their own homes instead of
going to assisted facilities, or clients taking care of aging
family members. She focuses on several nuances, including cultural
differences, while educating advisors about the many resources
available on aging in place.
“For advisors, their clients trust them with everything else,
including referrals for CPAs and estate planning lawyers, so this
allows them to be prepared for the tough questions about their
future care or care for a parent,” Escribano said. “To be the
ultimate resource of information, we discuss additional services
and situations, like finding a geriatric care manager. Advisors are
often surprised by just how much information is available.”
A registered corporate coach, Escribano earned a Master’s Degree
in Adult Education & HR Leadership. She holds the Series 7
securities license.
In its seventh year, Securities America’s Super Women’s Summit
brings together top women advisors to discuss topics that resonate
especially with women.
“Each year the Super Women’s Summit provides the opportunity for
learning and collaborating as part of our Connect national
conference,” said Janine Wertheim, president, Securities America
Advisors and senior vice president and chief marketing officer,
Securities America. “We are looking forward to Missy’s expertise on
this subject that is impacting so many families. And since a
majority of women end up as caregivers and the ones who orchestrate
care to aging parents, this topic is spot on for our group both
personally and professionally. It gives our advisors another
opportunity to enhance the client experience.”
