It went from 60 to 30 when it cut its dividend in about 1985.

NEVER trade options ever again nor trade volatility products because you have no understanding of risk.

My personal life lesson was starting to invest at 20 in only one stock, buying some on margin, selling some options, and at age 30 having 7 times my income in one stock that went from 60 to 30 overnight when it cut its dividend and wiped out 80% of my equity. I then switched to diversified mutual funds. Now I use ETFs.

Getting back in here today. It’s time to go long the market. Loving this pullback this morning. Good luck everyone.

You need to check your math, only way SVXY is getting to $70 within a month is from a reverse split. While I agree that it will trend up, that is a little too much to ask from it.

I predict this will go over $70 within the month.

That stream was silky smooth. Their online platform is clunky. Okay for retail, but trading news feels like a rigged deck.

Hey CC...what happen to all the posters on the D-Ugaz boards? It's a ghost town over there these days.

I miss Scottrade's Streaming quotes. So easy and fast to place trades from that platform for me. Also miss their pre mkt hours at 6:00 est

you can list stocks you want to trade in MarketWatch
click on buy or sell side of ticker and will bring up link at bottom of page

you will see....Order Entry Tool......

lower will show order entry.....you can change it as you wish
just like you normally do
at bottom of page will show any working orders or orders which did not go tru


by clicking on Monitor will show any orders pending or holdings

I like TD AMERITRADE platform and only use their simplist trading web page and snap ticket.

I took one look at Think or Swim and couldn't figure out how to place a trade let alone set up an option spread.

Simple is better for me.

I find the navigation more complicated for me at Fidelity but better option information when placing the trade.

I used to really like the Google Finance page. Then they changed it and ruined it, so now it is completely useless to me.*

I liked Scottrade, but now I have TD Ameritrade. Their website is not nearly as good as the Scottrade website was.*

As for SVXY, it must eventually go up, although only at half the rate. I haven't seen an explanation as to why UVXY didn't go sky-high. But now they will be 3-to-1 instead of 2-to-1, right? If SVXY goes from 1 to 0.5, and UVXY goes from 2 to 1.5, then that changes the ratio between them.*

No matter what I do, it's virtually guaranteed to lose. But I shouldn't feel so bad. If I would have done everything right in previous years, I could have amassed a fortune in XIV and SVXY. And lost it all anyhow!*

Since I lost so much in UVXY before, I'm used to losing, and I didn't have far to fall. So now I will expect SVXY to finally start working for me?*

I might sell at a loss at any time, just to reset my cost basis, because I don't want to go long-term. I think it's ultimately a good thing for some people to sell and buy-back at least once each year, just so we know how to fill out the tax forms!*

I have relatives who held stock for decades, and they have a cost-basis of ZERO, because they were in an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan). Nobody ever told them to keep track of their cost-basis, so it's treated as zero, whether that is correct or not.*
