Italy's Autogrill SpA (AGL.MI) said Thursday that Tom Fricke has been appointed as chief executive at its U.S. unit HMSHost and will be reporting to the parent company's chief executive, Gianmario Tondato Da Ruos.

Autogrill, which runs businesses ranging from restaurants along highways to duty-free shops at airports, said Fricke was chief executive at Cartridge World since 2008 and also worked at PepsiCo Inc. (PEP), Home Depot Inc. (HD) and Giant Eagle Inc.
