Recently named one of EDN Magazine's "Hot 100 Products"
of 2011, the QUANTUM CSAC is an industry first due to its
breakthrough advantages in size, weight, and power over existing
technologies. The only commercially available product of its
kind, the CSAC provides precise timing and synchronization for a
wide array of low power military, communications, industrial and
scientific applications. The CSAC has also received market interest
from applications and industries beyond those initially expected,
including food services, high-end commercial audio, first
responders, astronomy and space.
"Symmetricom's QUANTUM CSAC is a practical, useful, affordable
and dead-accurate timing solution for a variety of industries and
applications," said Jim Turley,
founder and analyst at Silicon Insider. "The company has built on
its history and expertise with state-of-the-art timing systems to
deliver the first CSAC in volume production."
In November, Symmetricom announced the selection of Kyocera
America to augment production capacity of the CSAC to meet strong
global demand from new and existing customers. This partnership
will allow Symmetricom to scale production of the CSAC to meet
increased customer demand.
"Since the introduction of the CSAC in January 2011, demand for this breakthrough
product has been exceptional and it is proving to be a significant
innovation in the market." said Dave
Cote, president and chief executive officer at
Symmetricom.
