DE) is among America's Best Employers based on research
conducted on behalf of Forbes magazine. In the 2016 results
released today by Forbes, Deere was the top-ranked company in the
engineering and manufacturing category and ranked 19th
overall. Deere was 38th in the 2015 overall results.
Forbes conducted independent research to rank 500 large
companies that employ more than 5,000 workers. Approximately 30,000
American employees across all companies were surveyed anonymously
without the involvement of employers. Forbes said respondents are
representative of the U.S. workforce by gender, age, region,
education, and ethnicity.
The top five in the 2016 America's Best Employers ranking are
Marathon Petroleum, Google, Costco Wholesale, Wegmans Food Markets
and United Services Auto Association (USAA).
