I traded on margin back in the day. There is no way in hell I would short NIO at the current PPS with earnings coming out at any time. But then again Shorts aren’t very intelligent. Otherwise “short squeeze” would be a rare event.

With Charging revenue is ramping up on a daily basis NIO losses should diminishing going forward. Battery Swap has Zero competition. 24 Battery swap vouchers with a $220 value is about $10.00 per swap.

US Tariffs will have little to zero impact on NIO. China’s trade with the USA accounts for only %15 of China’s total exports. NIO does Zero business with or in the USA. NIO has their own chip and are no longer depending on Nvidia. Only tariffs in Europe and MENA have an impact on NIO.

I bought NIO considering US tariffs pose little to Zero impact on NIO. Unfortunately the general public lacks the discernment necessary to make such a judgement. Like sheep, traders blindly follow the manipulative tactics of algorithms, MMs, hedge funds and brokers.

Shorts plan on the PPS going much lower.

We are far from a reversal unless NIO’s Q4 massively beats estimates.

%20 PPS swing in a a couple weeks for no reason other than manipulation. If you believe the Algorithms, Hedge Funds and Brokers can be beaten consistently day trading or swing trading you are delusional.

The Wallstreet crooks are sucking humanity dry a few percentage points at a time. They make their living from manipulating suckers with cash. The casino is rigged against you. They create the elation and the doom and gloom. Stop letting them manipulate you.

A GAC Battery Swap partnership and new China-wide NiO centric battery swap standards will accelerate the battery swap business model into profitability.

NIO’s has a combined 150,000 battery swap and conventional charging per day. NIO receives around $5 per service creating $750,000 in revenue per day, $274 million per year. With additional charging stations, additional brand battery swap partnerships, and eventual Chinese battery swap standards requiring EV batteries to be universally swappable NIO will generate $$Several Billion in charging fees alone.

Manipulation is what happens when…

Algorithm trading and a broker’s call paying entities to short NIO. On the positive side, NIO isn’t selling shares to finance operations. So the short term trading is just static manipulation of a PPS. Not a true reflection of NIO’s Fundamentals. As of February 2025, NIO's quick revenue to PPS ratio was 0.77, and its current ratio was 1.04.

Hopefully not too late… GAC chairman calls for greater policy support for battery swap in China.

I invested in NIO for their Battery Swap technology, not the EVs.

GAC is one of the earliest players in the battery swap space in China, announcing in November 2021 that it would offer battery swap-enabled versions of its entire model lineup based on the new GEP 3.0 platform.
In April 2022, its EV unit GAC Aion built its first battery swap station.

On July 3, 2023, GAC Aion's sub-brand Hyper -- now known as Hyptec -- launched its first model, the Hyper GT, with a battery swap-enabled variant.

Hyper constructed several battery swap stations in 2023, but then significantly slowed down its bet on the area.

On May 8, 2024, GAC signed a strategic partnership agreement with Nio (NYSE: NIO) on charging and battery swap, becoming the sixth member to join the latter's battery swap alliance.

Either GAC realized the buildout of Battery Swap Stations is a money losing business model or NIO’s R&D is far superior to GAC’s when it comes to battery swapping..
Can you foresee GAC getting NIO under contract for Battery Swap Stations throughout China?

Comparing apples to apples the NIO Firefly will offer a quality vehicle at a competitive price. Probably with tariffs in the $28,000 to $30,000 range.
Plus.
China is actively working on reducing or eliminating tariffs on EVs in Europe through cooperative R&D, investments, manufacturing buildout, and providing green energy jobs. Considering the political climate with Trump dumping the EU. Europe is no longer beholden to advancing the US anti China agenda.

This definitely could be the reason for NIO’s recent soft delivery numbers. NIO doesn’t reveal orders.

March 1, 2025
Wait times for both the ET7 and ES8 have been reduced to 2-3 weeks from 3-4 weeks previously, while the EC7 has been extended to 4-5 weeks from 3-4 weeks.
The wait time for the ET9 is 11-12 weeks, and the model will begin its first deliveries at the end of this month. Nio's sub-brand Onvo, remains 4-6 weeks

So if Firefly is destined mostly for the European market, how does it compete with the tariff problem there?
👍️0
TooFrank TooFrank 3 days ago
NIO's European expansion…

NIO's expansion into Europe has been slower than expected.
The EU has imposed tariffs on Chinese-built EVs of up to 48%.
NIO's Firefly sub-brand is aimed at the small EV market in Europe. The Firefly is designed to meet European safety standards.

From what I gather… the Chinese people don’t trust NIO. They believe NIO is a failing company. They are afraid to buy a NIO, then get stuck with a vehicle of a company that no longer exists. The shorting syndicate has been pushing the anti NIO narrative for years. The shorting syndicate is no small matter. When bloggers, posters, journalists, analysts and YouTuber’s identity is hidden in a Shell Company the underground is involved. When a broker is paying for entities to short NIO there is more than making money involved. The lawsuit against NIO by hedge funds accusing NIO of fraudulent conduct is not the only action seeking to revenge NiO. Convincing the public not to buy NIO cars is active and ongoing. NIO is fighting the syndicate by paying for information leading to arrests and prosecution.

NIO has an underserved public image problem. I don’t know if NIO will ever be able to turn the tide of public opinion and stock market manipulation in their favor. The shorts don’t just bash the stock for investors they bash the company to discourage vehicle sales.

Europe and MESA customers have NOT been propagandized by the shorting syndicate yet. Hopefully NIO will not have to fight the Chinese image problem in Europe and MESA. The problem with Europe and MESA is NIO probably won’t enter the markets there soon enough to save the company.

NIO has stated the Firefly is meant for the European Market. The 5 star European Safety rating is what makes the Firefly expensive. NIO designs and manufactures premium vehicles.
The Firefly is not too expensive for being a 5 star safety rated compact car.
The M03 was built to compete against the Tesla Model 3. The Tesla Model 3 is $30,000 in China, $40,000 in Europe.
The MO3 can’t pass western safety regulations without major upgrades.
Nor can , as far as I know, any of the other $20k and under low performance models flooding the market in China.

The ONVO brand is definitely missing public appeal. Hopefully a favorable public desire for the ET9 will trickle down into an improved public perception of ONVO. Otherwise ONVO isn’t a viable brand.
Personally, I doubt NIO will deliver on 2025 projected vehicle sales without a major uptick in European and MESA.sales.

On the other hand with the backing of the Chinese Government and CYVN/MESA NIO’s expansion and business plans will be financed at least until 2027. NIO won’t run out of money before their business plan is executed. The question remains… Will NIO’s business plan generate viable revenue and profit to become a major international corporation? I believe we will have the answer by end of year 2025.

Let’s be prescient…

Battery Swap Resale Value
Vehicle A and B are virtually the same except for the battery.

Which vehicle would you buy?

EV A
- $10,000 probably more expensive because you are paying for a battery.
- is 8 years old, 150,000 miles
- has an 8 year old fixed battery
- the battery has recently passed a mandatory government’s inspection.
- the vehicle doesn’t have a recent electric drive system check
- no $100 battery subscription fee.

EV B
- $10,000 probably cheaper because it doesn’t have a battery.
- is 8 years old, 150,000 miles.
- has a swappable battery
- requires a $100 per month battery swap subscription.
- the vehicle has a recent electric drive system. check performed during the last battery swap.
- can upgrade to a longer-range battery pack when you need it
- access the latest battery technology
- no worries about passing the mandatory annual battery inspections.
- no worries about having to spend several thousand dollars for a new battery to keep the vehicle in operation.

No one can predict PPS accurately and consistently over a period of time. It is an illusion to believe you can. Unlike brokers and hedge funds through manipulation and scamming retail investors who make a profit from stealing retail investors hard earned cash. The short term game is rigged against you. Hedge funds and brokers are at war with NIO. Until NIO approaches break even they will continue to manipulate NIO into submission.
Think about it this way. If %60-70 of volume is algorithmic trading. %90 plus of traders are trading the short term technical algorithmic signals.

Trading technicals is akin to a walking path in the woods. Did the woods create the path everyone uses or did people create the path everyone uses? We are creatures of habit who readily follow in the “technicals” path of the herd. Fact, only %3 percent of short term traders turn a profit in the long run. The stock market is now a big casino with the house being hedge funds and brokers manipulating the game for guaranteed profits. If someone does eventually learn how to beat the house they get strong armed like retail Game Stop and AMC traders. No one dare to beat the house. DOGE🙏

NIO: Upcoming Earnings Could Deliver A Big Positive Surprise

NIO is expected to report its quarterly earnings in a few days, and we could see a revenue surprise as the company reported strong sales for its ONVO model.
NIO’s two new models, Firefly and ONVO are seeing good customer feedback, which should improve the sales projection for 2025.
NIO is also looking to expand in international regions, which can deliver better margins compared to the highly competitive Chinese market.
A recent meeting between the Chinese administration and business leaders can also see a better regulatory climate and improve the overall sentiment toward Chinese stocks.
NIO stock is trading at a forward PS ratio of 0.68 compared to more than 12 for Tesla while showing a much stronger revenue growth trajectory. More information

Nio and BYD want to sell EV's without a battery, to take on Tesla and gas-powered cars.

Nio is a Chinese electric vehicle maker who has taken a radical approach to selling EV's: sell cars without the battery, and allow their customers to swap for fully charged batteries whenever needed.

Nio has spent the past five years building a comprehensive, and expensive, network of Battery Swapping Stations. Buyers of Nio vehicles lease the batteries, and instead of charging them, they take them to a station where they are replaced.

This strategy allows Nio to sell at a price far below competitors. Swapping a battery takes, only minutes, while charging requires hours.

Though it's early, customers thus far report a strong preference for the option of battery swapping, compared to fast charging. What's more, providing a fast and convenient charge positions Nio to directly challenge gas-driven cars.

Nio is partnered with BYD and CATL, the world's top producers of electric vehicle batteries. All three firms are now fully invested in the battery swap strategy, and believe that their sales growth is limited only by how quickly they can build more charging stations. And if they are correct, they will transform the transportation industry with little chance for rivals to catch up, for decades to come.

NIO MENA Opens First Battery Swap Station
Middle East and North Africa (MENA)

Abu Dhabi-based CYVN Holdings, formed Nio MENA in 10/2024… CYVN is the Abu Dhabi government. The deep pocket Abu Dhabi government is not only a key financial backer of NIO. It is a strategic partner. Let that sink in!
CYVN Holdings is an investment firm based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The firm is owned by the Abu Dhabi government. CYVN invests in mobility solutions to support businesses and innovators in the sector.
Now with the closing of the US$2.2 billion strategic equity investment, CYVN in aggregate beneficially owns approximately 20.1% of the Company’s total issued and outstanding shares.
In October 2024, Nio and its Middle East backer, Abu Dhabi-based CYVN Holdings, formed Nio MENA to expand into the MENA market.

In general the human race is easily manipulated. The west is the worst… immediate gratification with the attention span of a hummingbird. The powers that control the stock market are out to control us.

One week of vehicle sales means nothing without taking into consideration NIO’s stage of revenue generating infrastructure.
Charging stations with partnerships.
Battery Swap with partnerships
5nm Chip production
Self hardening alloy
New premium models entering into 3 new markets. ET9, L90, Firefly.

No doubt NIO has a PR problem from the continuous public bashing carried out by a syndicate that profits from getting retail to sell and buy NIO. Why do I say syndicate? When NIO investigated the social media bashers the trail led to a shell company. Shell companies are generally underground clandestine operations. The entire game is a Psyop. Notice some of the pumpers are missing during the heavy down days. The game is to pump the PPS back up then take it down again. The hedge funds shorting syndicate want you to buy and they want you to sell. They scalp profits based on volume and small percentage swings.

Know what you own. I invested in NIO with an outlook to 2028. If you listen to all of the constant manipulation static you are certain to lose money unless you play the game with them. Unfortunately the game is rigged in their advantage. Their goal is to manipulate the market and investors for quick small percentage profits.

If the potential of NIO’s profitability and growth doesn’t play out I will sell and move on. I don’t buy or sell based on Psyop manipulation. Much less one week of comparative sales.
