Banco Santander SA (SAN.MC) plans to raise its 2018 dividend to
0.23 euros ($0.28) and pay full-cash dividend as of 2019, Executive
Chairman Ana Botín said at the company's annual general meeting
Friday.
The 2018 dividend would represent a 4.5% increase compared with
that paid for 2017, the bank said. It will be paid in four
payments, three of which will be in cash, while for the fourth one
shareholders can choose between cash and shares.
"The Board's intention is to [...] pay entirely in cash as of
2019," the Ms. Botín said.
