Hypoxia, needs to be addressed quickly, otherwise it results in necrosis, which is the death of cells comprising body tissue. Necrosis cannot be reversed. Our lead drug candidate, code named BXT-25, is an Acellular Oxygen Carrier ("AOC") consisting of bovine hemoglobin stabilized with a co-polymer with an intended application that includes the treatment of hypoxic conditions in the brain resulting from stroke. Our subsidiary, Pharmalectin Inc. is focused on the development, manufacturing and commercialization of therapeutic drugs designed to address viral diseases in humans.
