To further assess the hydrogen potential, QIMC is conducting extensive geophysical surveys, including gravimetry to evaluate sedimentary rock deposits and audiomagnetotellurism to map critical fault systems that facilitate hydrogen migration. QIMC has effectively ruled out false positives linked to biogenic processes or contamination from legacy oil and gas wells, ensuring the reliability of the results across various geological contexts.

QIMC exploration efforts are supported by a partnership with the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (INRS), a prestigious Quebec research institution known for its expertise in applied geosciences.
