Europasia Education plc, the AIM-listed education group, announces that at
yesterday's egm, all the proposed resolutions were duly passed. The resolutions
give the directors of the Company the additional power to issue shares for cash
up to an aggregate nominal amount of #500,000.

Chief Executive, James Holmes, said: "Since shareholders endorsed the Company's
new investment strategy last summer, good progress has been made in laying the
foundations to develop businesses in the Far East and, in particular, China.

"Following the overwhelming support of shareholders at the egm, we can now
progress with final due diligence on the proposed acquisition of the English
language school on the south coast of England, details of which have previously
been announced. We are also doing due diligence on a number of other potential
acquisitions in line with the company's strategy."

The Company also announces that it is launching a new course through its
subsidiary St James's Academy for overseas nurses looking to improve their
English and to gain experience of working in the UK.

After receiving positive feed back from an initial marketing exercise in China
and Pakistan, Europasia is to launch the course officially next month with a
view to bringing the first students to England in the second half of the year.

Mr Holmes said: "Nurses in China, for example, earn as little as #1,000 per
year and with the health service in the UK recruiting from overseas because it
has problems recruiting sufficient numbers of staff, we are sure the course will
be a big success.

"We are very excited about the potential from China as our investment of the
last 12 months there begins to bear fruit. The wide range of courses and
additional facilities that will be available to us, following the proposed
acquisition of the UK language school, will boost our ability to do well."

The company has also appointed Jean Dong to its London office to manage and
co-ordinate all communications between the company's UK businesses and its China
operations.

A graduate of both Leeds and Delhi Universities, Ms Dong has been working with
the company on its "Hello English" project aimed at teaching English via
National China Radio and website. Ms Dong has previously worked as a translator
/interpreter for the Chinese Embassy in India and was the chief representative
in that country for Shanghai Zhonglu Industry which, among other things, sold
and installed bowling alleys.

As part of her new responsibilities she will be advising the BBC on its English
language teaching programmes for China.

Commenting on the appointment Mr Holmes said: "Jean will be responsible for
ensuring that the large number of opportunities that we are seeing from our
China operations are turned into profits for the benefit of shareholders."
