Company will expand with a $5.5 million
investment and add nearly 200 new jobs
HomeServe USA (HomeServe), a leading provider of home emergency
repair solutions, today announces plans to expand its presence in
the Chattanooga area with an expansion worth $5.5 million to
develop a new state of the art call center and customer operations
facility, adding nearly 200 new jobs.* The company will break
ground on the new property in the coming weeks, with plans to build
a new 45,000-square foot facility that will be located off of Lee
Highway in Chattanooga.
“For over six years, Chattanooga has been the home to our
award-winning customer support team, which serves as a foundation
to the value we bring to our customers – often homeowners dealing
with unexpected home repair emergencies,” said Tom Rusin, CEO of
HomeServe USA. “We are thrilled to be growing our operations within
a community that has been so supportive for HomeServe. We look
forward to continuing to raise the bar for customer service quality
in the years ahead and are dedicated to contributing and giving
back to this community along the way.”
Since 2003, HomeServe has been serving homeowners across the
country and today protects 3 million customers in the U.S. and
Canada. The company first opened its flagship Chattanooga Contact
Center in October 2010, taking its first customer call from the
site in November of that year. In the years since, HomeServe’s
employee base in Chattanooga has steadily grown from the 35 that
first opened the center to 320 today.
“With this expansion, HomeServe will create close to 200 good,
middle-class jobs right here in Chattanooga, bringing their local
workforce to over 500 strong," said Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke.
"Today's announcement provides another example of an excellent
company choosing to both invest in our city and grow our local
workforce."
HomeServe’s Chattanooga employees are consistently recognized
for excellence in customer service, receiving a remarkable 17
awards at the 2017 Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service.
Team members working at the Chattanooga Contact Center also
exemplify the company’s investment in corporate social
responsibility, frequently engaging in community activities and
supporting charitable organizations such as Habitat for Humanity,
Chattanooga Food Bank, Children’s Hospital and Chambliss Children’s
Home.
“HomeServe has been a wonderful partner in our business
community for more than six years now,” said Hamilton County Mayor
Jim Coppinger. “We congratulate them on their growth in Hamilton
County as they continue to provide award-winning customer service
from Hamilton County.”
Nearly six and a half years after planting roots in the city,
HomeServe continues to contribute to Chattanooga’s community
development and the growth of the local job market, with the
upcoming expansion serving as another example of the fruitful,
rewarding relationship between the company, the State of Tennessee,
Hamilton County, the City of Chattanooga and the Chattanooga
Chamber of Commerce.
“We’re proud of the work we do at the Chamber every day to
create jobs for our community,” said Bill Kilbride, President and
CEO of the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce. “We applaud HomeServe’s
growth and investment in our region.”
“Congratulations to HomeServe USA on its decision to expand and
build a new facility in Chattanooga, Tennessee,” said TVA Senior
Vice President of Economic Development John Bradley. “TVA and the
Electric Power Board of Chattanooga are privileged to partner with
the State of Tennessee, the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce,
the City of Chattanooga and Hamilton County to support existing
business and industry growth."
