The Company was informed on 12 June 1998 that on the same
day  Silverslaggan AB acquired 45,299  of  the  Company's
ordinary  20p shares ("Ordinary Shares") which represents
0.72  per  cent.  of the Company's issued Ordinary  Share
capital. Following this transaction Silverslaggen AB  has
a   beneficial   interest  of  460,299  Ordinary   Shares
representing  7.4  per  cent.  of  the  Company's  issued
Ordinary Share capital.
