Hedge funds have bet billions of dollars against Donald Trump’s America amid fears of a market crash.

Data from Goldman Sachs show there has been a surge in “short” bets against US stocks, meaning traders will make money when they fall in value, in a sign of growing concerns about the market.

In January, investors have placed 10 times more bets on US stocks falling than equivalent bets that shares in leading American companies would rise, the investment bank said. AA is almost out of runway as far as available A/S goes. He needs to raise share count, then followed by massive dump and R/S. BK and zero (for shareholders) becomes a real possibility if he cannot follow this path.

Zero might be a stretch Master but $2's appear likely near term. The problem for AMC shareholders is that AMC has no choice but to sell more and more shares to raise cash to pay off debt, and selling shares down here is hugely dilutive. AA had the solution back in mid-2021 when AMC was selling up in the $47.50 - $60 range pre-RS, which equates with $475 - $600 today after the 1-for-10 RS, and the Apes opposed it and killed it. That was stupid. If AA had gotten the authorization from the shareholders for the new common shares back then, everything would have worked out and AMC would not be in the huge bind it is in now.
