          Ultra goes live with baggage reconciliation system at Heathrow



Ultra Electronics is pleased to announce the on-time installation and acceptance
of its UltraTrakTM baggage reconciliation and management system at London
Heathrow, the world's busiest international airport.  The contract, awarded to
Ultra Electronics Airport Systems (formerly FASL) in March 2003, will be worth
in excess of #10m over the first 5 years of service.



UltraTrakTM is a baggage reconciliation, tracking and management system that
automatically ensures hold baggage does not travel if its passenger fails to
board a flight.  The system not only enhances the security of departing flights
but also minimises departure delays resulting from 'no-show' passengers and
ensures that baggage is loaded onto the correct flight.  Ultra was selected by
the Airline Operators Committee (AOC) representing all 80 airlines that use the
airport.  The UltraTrakTM system at Heathrow will handle in excess of 20 million
bags per year.



David Parish, Chairman of the AOC Shared Systems Board, said:  "Ultra has
successfully met a huge challenge.  The team at Ultra Electronics Airport
Systems has replaced the existing baggage reconciliation system with UltraTrakTM
and its associated wireless network solution across Terminals One, Two and Three
within the required timescales and to the required quality of service."
