Vale Assumes Chairman Role at Euro RSCG Latin America; Monteiro
Adds Region's CEO Role to Existing Responsibilities NEW YORK, Dec.
6 /PRNewswire/ -- David Jones, Global CEO of Euro RSCG Worldwide
announced today that Javier Vale, CEO of Euro RSCG Latin America
will become Chairman of Euro RSCG Latin America. Ricardo Monteiro,
CEO of Euro RSCG Lisbon will become CEO of Latin America; he will
split his duties between Portugal and the Latin American region.
Monteiro will also be a member of the Euro RSCG Worldwide Executive
Committee and will report to Jones. Jones said, "Euro RSCG's Latin

Ricardo's ability to both acquire and develop new business from

both of them." Vale, one of Mexico's most respected advertising
executives, joined the agency in 2003 when the agency he founded in
1981 became part of Euro RSCG. That agency, Groupo Vale Euro RSCG,
was one of the top four agencies in Mexico with clients including
Sony, Warner Music, Warner Bros, Frito Lay, Telmex, Cadbury Adams,
DHL, Air France, Bratz, Pilgrim's, Aiwa, Reckitt Benckiser, BBVA,
and Pfizer CHC & PPG. He was appointed CEO of Euro RSCG Latin
America in 2004. He began his career in television in 1973,
eventually becoming Sales Director at communications holding
company Televisa for five radio stations, five magazines, four TV
channels, and the Cable TV division. Monteiro came to Euro RSCG in
1999 from BBDO Lisbon, where he was CEO and Partner. Since joining
the agency, he has led Euro RSCG to the top position in Portugal,
where it has remained for the past 5 years. Under his leadership,
Euro RSCG Lisboa, Euro RSCG Design, and Euro RSCG Retail have all
been named Agency of the Year 2004 by Meios & Publicidade
magazine with clients including McDonald's, Coca-Cola, and Nestle.
In 2003 Monteiro was appointed to restructure Euro RSCG's
operations in the Nordic region and the following year became
Executive Vice President of Business Development for Euro RSCG
Europe, a title which he held along with the CEO role at Euro RSCG
Lisbon. Monteiro previously worked for Unilever for thirteen years
in various marketing and sales positions in Spain and Portugal. At
29, he was one of that company's youngest Senior Managers. Upon
leaving, he was Managing Director of the Elida Gibbs operation in
