Other MIPS-Based Products at ESC
MIPS Technologies recently released its new MIPS32 M14K™ core
family for microcontrollers and other small footprint embedded
applications, and has already signed licensees for the new cores,
which are based on the new microMIPS ISA. Leading third party
software vendors offering tool and OS support for the M14K core
will demonstrate solutions at ESC. This includes CodeSourcery's
industry-leading Sourcery G++™ software development environment
based on the GNU Toolchain and the Eclipse IDE. Micrium will show
its microMIPS port of the µC/OS-II and µC/OS-III RTOS.
Express Logic will demonstrate the ThreadX advanced RTOS running
on the multicore/multi-threaded 1004K CPS.
MIPS Technologies and Synopsys (booth #715) collaborate on
virtual prototyping solutions for software development,
architecture exploration and verification. Many MIPS customers in
the consumer space leverage Synopsys' comprehensive suite of tools
and models to accelerate and improve their embedded system
development and verification.
Other companies showcasing/announcing solutions at ESC relating
to the MIPS architecture include CMX Systems, eCoscentric,
MontaVista Software and Sonics, Inc.
