Halla Climate Systems Opens New Manufacturing Facility in Alabama SHORTER, Ala., Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Halla Climate Systems Alabama Corporation (HCSA) celebrated the grand opening today of its first U.S. automotive manufacturing facility with a ceremony attended by Alabama Governor Bob Riley. The 135,000-square-foot HCSA facility is located in Shorter, Alabama, 30 miles east of the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing plant in Montgomery, Alabama. HCSA will provide front-end modules and heating and air conditioning systems to Hyundai for its 2005 Sonata and 2006 Santa Fe models. The $28 million facility is expected to employ approximately 150 workers by 2006.
