Uber, PayPal, Walgreens Program Lets Customers Donate to Increase Vaccine Access

PayPal Holdings Inc., Uber Technologies Inc. and Walgreens Boots
Alliance Inc. said Monday the companies have launched a program
which will enable customers to donate to the Vaccine Access Fund,
which provides free rides for people in underserved communities to
get to a vaccination site.
The companies said their new Vaccine Access Fund allows
customers to donate to vaccine access efforts, adding "starting
today customers can donate to the Vaccine Access Fund directly
through the Uber app using a new donate feature supported by PayPal
Giving Fund." The companies also said they would be donating $11
million to the Vaccine Access Fund.
The donations will be given to and managed by Local Initiatives
Support Corporation, a national community development organization,
the companies said.
