SALT LAKE CITY, May 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Fusion-io
(NYSE: FIO) today announced that Daniel E.
Stevenson was appointed to general counsel and secretary for
the company. Formerly vice president and associate general counsel
with Fusion-io, Stevenson helped structure, negotiate, and manage
Fusion-io's key customer relationships with Fortune 500 customers,
strategic suppliers and OEMs. Prior to joining Fusion-io, Stevenson
served as general counsel of a privately held VC-backed
company.
Stevenson was instrumental in Fusion-io's $270m IPO on the NYSE in June 2011. He is responsible for all legal
aspects of the company worldwide, reporting to Shane Robison, chairman and CEO.
"Dan has played a key role in building powerful strategic
relationships with our partners and customers that are mutually
beneficial," said Shane Robison,
Fusion-io chairman and chief executive officer. "We look forward to
having Dan serve in this new role where he can further strengthen
these partnerships as Fusion-io continues to expand and shape the
flash memory landscape."
"I look forward to building on the already strong strategic
alliances and partnerships," said Stevenson. "These relationships
allow Fusion-io to maintain its status as a leader in the flash
industry, and discovering new opportunities allows us to stay ahead
of the competition and deliver products that accelerate our
customers' solutions."
Stevenson has worked closely with technology and emerging growth
companies his entire career. Before becoming an in-house advisor,
Dan was a business and technology transactions attorney with
Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati
where he advised businesses on intellectual property, outsourcing,
and technology-related issues, including licensing and procurement
of software and technology, SaaS, OEM, reseller, and other
distribution arrangements, content licensing, and implementing
e-commerce solutions. Dan graduated from BYU's J. Reuben Clark Law School cum laude and
received his undergraduate degree at BYU. Dan has been admitted to
the bar in Texas, Washington, and Utah and has been named a "Texas Rising Star,"
a "Washington Rising Star," and a member of Utah's "Legal Elite."
