Reed's, Inc. (NASDAQ: REED) announced today that its Reed's and
Virgil's brands will now be carried in the mainstream beverage
aisles within approximately 300 stores operated by The Great
Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company (A&P) (NYSE: GAP). A&P
has agreed to begin carrying select packages of Reed's &
Virgil's brands in all A&P, Waldbaum's, A&P Super Foodmart,
The Food Emporium & Super Fresh stores throughout the Northeast
& Mid-Atlantic region.
Founded in 1859, A&P is one of the nation's first
supermarket chains. The Company operates 436 stores in 8 states and
the District of Columbia under the following trade names: A&P,
Waldbaum's, Pathmark, Best Cellars, The Food Emporium, Super
Foodmart, Super Fresh and Food Basics.
