Metavante Corporation, the financial technology subsidiary of
Marshall & Ilsley Corporation (NYSE:MI), will host its 9th
annual fraud seminar, May 9, at Milwaukee's Midwest Airlines
Center. The theme is "Navigating the Fraud Landscape," and it will
focus on the increasing sophistication of financial criminals and
how the financial services industry can fight back with the right
strategies and technology. Attendance at the seminar and conference
is limited to Metavante clients and prospects. Catherine A. Allen,
chief executive officer of BITS, will deliver the keynote address,
providing an overview of fraud in the financial services industry.
BITS, an industry consortium made up of 100 of the largest
financial institutions in the U.S., facilitates collaboration to
address emerging issues where financial services, technology and
commerce intersect. Metavante's Fraud Seminar provides a day of
presentations, discussions and networking dealing with the critical
topic of fraud. Additional speakers will discuss specific areas of
fraud including: card, check and mortgage fraud, the inner workings
of fraud and criminals targeting the financial services industry.
"The evolving landscape of financial and payments technology has
created unprecedented efficiencies and convenience in today's
financial services industry. Unfortunately, fraudsters work
tirelessly to co-opt these gains for their own underhanded
purposes," said Frank D'Angelo, president, Metavante Payment
Solutions Group. "Our aim with this seminar is to help our present
and future clients better understand their adversary, the
fraudster, and equip them with the tools and knowledge to head them
off at every pass." The seminar is a part of Metavante's 25th
Annual Client Conference, which runs from May 9 to May 11, at the
same location. The theme of this year's conference is "Return on
Relationship," focusing on how Metavante provides the expertise,
products and services, to help improve efficiency, increase
profitability and spur growth. More than 1,200 people are expected
to attend the conference, which is limited to Metavante's current
and prospective clients. About Metavante Metavante Corporation
