I'm not that well versed in the Terminology, I have a Tech (retired) background, but more for READING SIGNALS on an oscilloscope and a video vector scope then on a STOCK CHART.
But up is up in any language.
I have a basic understanding of the Magnitude that PLTR will have on BUSINESS and GOV.
Everything today is data driven and .......
understanding what that data is saying is going to be HUGE

The last 10-days have seen significant volume in PLTR, with average daily volume above the average for the last year. PS: My average cost is $13.48 after selling twice before up to 50% of my shares. Presently I am ahead in profits by 173% and watching to sell 50% probably this week should price increase reach twice my average cost. Not to hurry considering the overall picture as of now. We shall see. GLTA

I did the same, mine got taken away in the low 20's, not all of them, regret that decision, so I started to buy call options and sometimes some puts, 5 to 10 contracts at a time, been working so far.

My only real stock that hasn't been crapped on as of late. 70% up, but I keep following with a limit sell, just in case.

I'm sure they did, but They may have been only shaking the tree trying to get shares on the cheap. Now they have to go after them at a higher prices, because RETAIL INVESTOR are discovering PLTR

I would think that some of the funds had already started to purchase some shares, not necessarily the index funds but other funds as well. This week should be interesting.

On MON 9/23 PLTR will be LISTED on the S&P500 for ALL to know.
The FUNDS will be buying Next week ahead of Retail investors

It will be interesting to see what transpires tomorrow morning around the open and all day Monday on this news of being updated to the S&P. Hopefully, I can make some good coin on this postion.

volitility yes, but I feel in an uptrend, hopefully. Ovreall market has pressure, but this is one of the sectors most favorable. imo.

for some folks, yes, but for longerterm, bigger money, I hear already many are in for a longer, solid profit (a few years)

It will be very interesting to see what the Sept 20 and Sept 27 calls do over the next two or three weeks. I have 5 long calls each at strike price 33. The S&P 500 index will have to purchase PLTR and two other stocks that got added, but also sell the three stocks that got kicked out. DELL and ERIE got added along with PLTR. I would think there will be a lot of buying over the next two weeks, probably some selling, flipping back and forth as well. Believe they have to rebalance by Sept 23, a Monday. I believe there are other indexes that mimic the S&P 500 as well, but do not know exactly how they work. Will be interesting to say the least.

As much as Mr Karp loves a squeeze, I don’t expect one here. While all the put options betting on non-inclusion will be destroyed, we are already at highs for the year. Make that the last three years. I remember selling a February call in 2021 with a strike price of 46 and I got 4.70 for it. That must have been on the day it spiked . We have been looking for it to revisit 40 ever since.

What could hold us down now? Back then, we had price discovery, speculation on a bright fresh face, with no pesky P/E ratio to worry about, because it wasn’t profitable yet. Now we have positive earnings and a ratio to go with them, and, yeah, that sucker is kind of high. Not to mention a lot of macro headwinds. History says Fed rate cuts, as welcome as they might be, mark the beginning of a recession. Are we recession-proof? And September and October are often brutal, at least one if not both months. Last two years, October has been the low for much of the market. Two years in a row hardly makes a streak, but again, there is much to suggest we are in the season for bargain-hunting, not FOMO.

Having said that, I won’t be surprised if this particular ticker continues to pump. I will adjust to the idea of selling cash covered puts in the low 30’s, instead of the mid 20’s. Feeling pretty good about those cash covered October 32s right now.
