Telecom Italia SpA (TIT.MI) said Tuesday that it has signed a strategic agreement with a number of companies operating in the Italian telecoms-infrastructure sector for the development of fiber networks in the country.

The Italian telecommunications company said that it has signed a service contract with Sirti, Sielte, Ceit, Sittel, Valtellina and Site for a period of between 3 and 5 years starting 2019.

The agreement includes provisions for both the construction and maintenance of fiber networks, as well as delivery of the service to the end-client, Telecom Italia said.
