Spain's Repsol S.A. (REPYY) is again in discussions with Talisman Energy Inc. (TLM.T) over a possible purchase of some the Canadian's company's assets or an outright buyout, Bloomberg News reported Monday on its website, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

In August, Repsol dropped plans to buy all of Talisman following due diligence on the company, people with knowledge of the matter said at the time.

Representatives of Repsol and Talisman declined comment to Bloomberg. In after-hours trading, shares of Talisman were down 0.27% at $3.75, while shares in Repsol were down 2.13% at $22.10.
