ADRs End Mostly Higher; Mindray Medical Falls

International stocks trading in New York closed mostly higher on
Thursday.
Mindray Medical International Ltd. (MR, K3QD.SG) was among the
companies with ADRs that traded actively.
The BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts rose 0.35%
to 129.91. The European index increased 0.65% to 131.60, the Asian
index eased 0.25% to 133.30, the Latin American index edged down
0.51% to 166.16 and the emerging markets index edged up 0.02% to
212.53.
Mindray Medical said it received a reduced management buyout
proposal that values the Chinese medical device maker at roughly
$3.2 billion. ADRs fell 2.4% to $23.60.
Advertising company WPP PLC (WPPGY, WPP.LN) said Thursday that
it has acquired a majority stake in Brazilian public relations
company Ideal Group for an undisclosed sum. ADRs rose 1.3% to
$105.60.
