Carlsberg AS said Wednesday that Chief Financial Officer Heine Dalsgaard has decided to resign to take up the CFO position at a private-equity-backed company in a different industry.

The Copenhagen-based brewer said Mr. Dalsgaard will continue at Carlsberg until Dec. 31 at the latest. The company will initiate the succession process and announce Mr. Dalsgaard's successor in due course, it said.
