5.2 billion shares that are only listed over the counter are a problem in terms of valuation when it comes to Sunhydrogen Inc. as a potential market participant. Even if Tim Young were only interested in license models for the developed components. Tim Young cannot avoid professional valuation approaches if and when there is a marketable prototype. He will not be able to put off the necessary reverse split forever. He will also have to answer the question of how far his commitment to the many shareholders will go at some point.

I believed his insane plan to use tariffs to fund America, which he mentioned prior to winning the election. Imposing tariffs on some of your key partners is a poorly thought out plan. He's going to hurt the low/middle class, worse than Biden. Thankfully he's surrounding himself with people that won't intervene! How nice. Giving a narcissist unparalleled power is a nightmare in the making. This is the "bad ending". Biden was like a puppet on life support, and that's as damaging as the instability to be unleashed across America, over the next 4 years.

CORALVILLE, IA , Jan. 15, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SunHydrogen, Inc. (OTCQB: HYSR), the developer of a breakthrough technology to produce renewable hydrogen using sunlight and water, today released a new video showcasing its green hydrogen panel demonstration at the 1m² scale. The video can be viewed on SunHydrogen’s website here.

“On December 11, 2024, our team successfully demonstrated hydrogen production in subfreezing temperatures outside the SunHydrogen laboratory in Coralville, IA,” said SunHydrogen’s Chief Technology Officer Dr. Syed Mubeen. “This video memorializes our achievement.”

Green hydrogen is produced through electrolysis powered by renewable sources such as wind, solar or hydroelectric power. This process involves splitting water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen, with hydrogen being the resulting fuel. No greenhouse gases are emitted during green hydrogen production or consumption. However, a vast majority of today’s green hydrogen producers transport their product over long distances, so although the hydrogen itself is green, the delivery and transport infrastructure is carbon intensive and costly.

“Our solution will eliminate the need to transport hydrogen fuel over long distances,” said SunHydrogen’s CEO Tim Young. “We plan to offer on-site solar hydrogen generation at or near the point of use: No more long distance transport resulting in high costs and hydrogen losses.”

Additionally, the Company’s technology is fully self-contained and is not reliant on grid power for operation.

“With the completion of our commercially-relevant 1m² demonstration, we can now begin the site selection process for larger pilot demonstrations at the 25m² scale and beyond,” Dr. Mubeen said.

Last fall, the Company joined the Texas Hydrogen Alliance, a coalition of industry leaders dedicated to advancing the hydrogen economy in Texas. Representatives from SunHydrogen also recently visited potential pilot plant sites in Hawaii alongside members of the Honda R&D team.

“I would once again like to thank the team at Honda R&D Co., the University of Iowa, the University of Michigan, Niigata Co., Ltd, and our expert consultants Prof. Kazunari Domen, Dr. Hiroshi Nishiyama, and Dr. Taro Yamada for their support,” Mr. Young concluded. “We look forward to building on this progress in 2025 as we set our sights on even greater milestones.”

Other than their Hydrogen vehicle prototype I don't think RONN could be called a producer yet....hopefully their plans will lead them to setting up a Hydrogen infrastructure highway across Canada....refuelling Hubs ....that seems to be one of their endgames.
Whether they can secure the funding , expertise and support to do it remains to be seen. The fact is that someone will eventually do it if RONN doesn't

I see that. Looks like they have many more years to go before a commercial offering (if ever).

They haven't announced when they will divulge any data for he amount of hydrogen produced per sq m. Hopefully the 25 sqm next phase will provide that.

Their "competition" (Fusion Fuel) has switched to being a service only company now BTW showing the interest in this type of solution isn’t there yet. Maybe the delays they have suffered will work out for them.

Over the past year, SunHydrogen has rapidly pursued a new methodology that integrates solar cells from CTF Solar GmbH into the Company’s core technology for green hydrogen production, enabling faster market entry. SunHydrogen’s innovative design utilizes economical, easily manufacturable PV materials to produce clean hydrogen and oxygen from just sunlight and water.

In October 2024, SunHydrogen shared that its 100cm² hydrogen modules – manufactured in collaboration with CTF Solar – demonstrated 10.8% solar-to-hydrogen efficiency at the Honda R&D facility in Japan. Since then, the Company has been working steadily toward a 1m² proof of concept demonstration. On December 11, 2024, the team successfully demonstrated hydrogen production in subfreezing temperatures outside the SunHydrogen laboratory in Coralville, IA.

Cost will not be the only advantage of green produced Hydrogen over oil. Do I really have to point out the damage oil production and consumption has done to the human race over the history of it's use?

SunHydrogen on Track for 1m² Pilot Demonstration of its Green Hydrogen Panels
CORALVILLE, IA – October 21, 2024 – SunHydrogen, Inc. (OTCQB: HYSR), the developer of a breakthrough technology to produce renewable hydrogen using sunlight and water, today shared an update on the Company’s progress toward demonstrating its green hydrogen panels at the commercially-relevant 1m² scale.

In July 2024, SunHydrogen announced its technology collaboration agreement with CTF Solar GmbH to integrate CTF’s solar cell modules into SunHydrogen’s technology for green hydrogen production. This approach draws on the core principles of SunHydrogen’s nanoparticle technology while leveraging a mature manufacturing platform, enabling faster market entry.

In collaboration with CTF Solar, SunHydrogen has designed scalable thin-film solar cell module architecture that will form the basis for multiple 1m² hydrogen panel demonstrations. Today, the Company is pleased to share that initial fabrication and testing of these large-scale modules is officially underway. Concurrently, SunHydrogen is working to safeguard the modules from chemical corrosion, ensuring their durability and long-term performance.

Also in July 2024, SunHydrogen announced its joint development agreement with Honda R&D Co., LTD.

At the Honda R&D facility in Japan, SunHydrogen’s initial 100cm² hydrogen modules – designed in collaboration with CTF Solar – have demonstrated 10.8% solar-to-hydrogen efficiency. The Honda R&D team is also studying the effects of various hydrodynamic conditions on SunHydrogen’s modules, further optimizing their performance.

“To our knowledge, this efficiency level has not been reached by any other company using cost-effective semiconductor materials immersed in water,” said SunHydrogen’s Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Syed Mubeen. Working with Honda R&D, the SunHydrogen team is also moving to finalize sites for large-scale pilot plant demonstrations.

Additionally, SunHydrogen’s expert collaborators – Prof. Kazunari Domen, Dr. Hiroshi Nishiyama, Dr. Taro Yamada and Dr. Nirala Singh – are developing innovative membraneless housing units for the Company’s hydrogen panels. These units enable safe separation of hydrogen and oxygen without membranes, significantly reducing cost and eliminating the use of environmentally persistent fluorinated compounds (PFAS).
