The community of Gulf Breeze, Florida has decided to take a proactive approach in combating the impending Gulf Oil Spill on track to hit their community. Gulf Breeze, located in Florida's panhandle, has purchased from MOP Environmental Solutions, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: MOPN) "MOP 201 bulk loose sorbent." MOP 201 bulk sorbent is more than ten times as effective as booms for absorbing oil. Gulf Breeze has purchased MOP 201 to distribute to waterfront landowners to assist them in confronting the spill directly to protect their property.

CEO Charles Diamond states, "We believe the carefully considered wise choice of MOP bulk sorbent by the Gulf Breeze community will serve as an example for all concerned with implementing the most efficient cleanup measures," said Charles Diamond, MOP Environmental President & CEO. "We are hearing from more and more communities and the message is that they are not going to wait until the oil is on their beaches to take action; and they are making their choice of the far more effective approach of using MOP loose sorbent."

CEO Diamond states: "It is notable that The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency - National Service Center for Environmental Publications (NSCEP) recommends the priority for test of absorbents first from available and low-cost natural absorbents." (on page 2 Section 1 of the Executive Summary). MOP falls into this category. (NSCEP) (page 6 section 3) also states: "The natural sorbents are generally more readily available than the synthetics," and on page 25 Section 6: also states, "One common factor among the sorbent types is that organic sorbents tend to have a greater sorption and retention capacity for organic rather than inorganic liquids." It is also notable that in the "Use Of Sorbents for Spill Response," published in 2009 and Commissioned by the Maritime Affairs Directorate, and the French Navy, it has been determined that bulk sorbents (MOP is in this category) is the choice for Weathered Emulsified Crude Oil which is the specific application in the Gulf. The study stated, "These products (bulk sorbents) can be used in a wide variety of situations, on land and on water. Their divided form gives them a large surface area which will come into contact with the pollutant, promoting their impregnation even if the pollutant forms a thin layer or scattered slicks, which may be difficult to access." The entire guide can be read at, www.cedre.fr/en/publication/sorbent/sorbent.pdf.

Patented, MOP Maximum Oil Pickup is optimized as the quintessential loose sorbent with all the desirable features, performance, and safety that enables MOP to stand apart from all other natural bulk fiber sorbents.

"One container of MOP sorbent can contain up to 75,000 gallons of oil in 4 hours," stated Diamond. "It would take about 23,000 booms to get the same results. Furthermore, we continue to call for recognition of the advantages of MOP bulk loose sorbent as the product of choice for its comprehensive use throughout all oil contaminated areas in the Gulf. Furthermore, we are recommending a new process we are calling 'Boat Skimming.' Boat Skimming allows boats to tow nets filled with MOP sorbent through the oil, capturing far more oil than conventional skimmers in much less time. The process is easily and inexpensively scalable by simply adding more boats and nets to the process. In just one day, hundreds of thousands of gallons of oil can be contained."

ABOUT MOP ENVIRONMENTAL SOLUTIONS, INC.

MOP Environmental Solutions, Inc. (MOPN) is a publicly traded company. MOP Maximum Oil Pickup is a "cradle-to-cradle" green product that is arguably the most effective oil spill recovery system on the market. For information see www.mopenvironmental.com.

Brief Description of The MOP Technology: MOP Maximum Oil Pickup is an aggressive oleophyllic and hydrophobic (oil attracting and water repelling) sorbent made from recycled and fully biodegradable materials, manufactured using small-scale hydroelectric green energy. MOP's properties are such that it can effectively deal with an oil spill the size of the Exxon Valdez, but is equally effective at cleaning up the oil spill off a garage floor.

Regarding the Gulf Oil Spill; MOP Environmental's patented product MOP Maximum Oil Pickup has the ability to capture and contain the Gulf Oil Spill at its source and all locations out to its furthest perimeter including the marshlands and beaches. Where the oil has landed on beaches or land it will separate and remove the oil from the soil, or sand on site quickly. MOP Environmental's oil-only pickup product is called MOP Maximum Oil Pickup. MOP floats, is all natural, it is safe to the environment including birds, animals, and aquatic life. It is rapidly deployed at over 150 mph using MOP Environmental's MOP-Cannon and removed using their MOP-Vac. MOP is applied above water or below water where it floats up and locks in oil, completely neutralizing all potential harmful effects of the spilled oil. It is the only known oil recovery method that will work under all weather conditions. The oil can be retrieved for re-use where the resulting profit is greater than the expense of cleanup.

MOP Environmental Solutions, Inc. manufactures and distributes MOPĀ® Maximum Oil Pickup.

MOP picks up and recovers oil spilled on land and/or water. This revolutionary, 100% Recyclable, new absorbent material picks up to 30 times its own weight in oil, without absorbing water, restores traction on slippery surfaces, and safely restores a clean, natural environment.
