Hello all from the UK and especially to "doinit".

You may have seen this as it appeared around teatime in the US yesterday.

It could be truly galvanising and is a roughly 1 min video of the Taiwanese president saying "Yes !"

When I first saw it, it already had had around 750,000 views. It's since been viewed by one million more !

PTHRF,,,The ANS is a prolific oil province now regarded as a โ€œSuper Basinโ€ which is experiencing an exploration and development revival. Pantheon' and its wholly owned subsidiary, Great Bear Petroleum, has been operating in Alaska for over a decade where over $350 million has been invested in building and appraising its portfolio and in 3D seismic.

With the first of the flow test results on TS1 due soon, the reservoir comes into focus. Bearing in mind PANR have done the data analysis and stated โ€œThis has allowed definition of completion and flow testing programmes over six horizons beginning with Topset 1โ€
Expanding the message a little, it means they have now designed their completion, which is the fracture, stimulation plan and its flow test, so will have run models and come up with the 200bpd prediction for TS1

What is interesting is how much higher the 200bpd is compared to results of the Alkaid 2 SMDB test. It had an average of 45bpd over the 5 days of oil production, and then went on to be the basis of the modelled horizontal multi stage production well, with an EUR of 3.48 million barrels per well, and a NPV 10 value of ~$6/barrel

Assuming the frack will be similar to the vertical frack/completion used in the Alkaid 2 SMDB, that yielded Avg of 45 barrels of oil per day, the TSI modelling that shows 200 bpd must have considerably better reservoir. Clues to this perhaps lie in the average permeability in other earlier wells (Alkaid 1, ZOI, Talitha, Theta West) at one tenth of a millidarcy v TS1 at 1 millidarcy or less.

To summarise, 200 bbls of oil per day from a single stage in tight reservoir, is a very good tight reservoir

hTTps://polaris.brighterir.com/public/pantheon_resources/news/rns/story/xqlk1kr
During the flow test, after recovery of approximately 60% of the frac fluids, the oil rate (separator liquids) ranged from more than 100 barrels of oil per day ("bopd") to 30 bopd (averaging 45 bopd over the 5 days during which oil was recovered). Water cuts were 90% initially, but declined over time as a larger share of the frac fluids was recovered. As highlighted before the operation, the flow rates themselves were not expected to be material because the objective was to limit drawdown in the initial flow back. However, the actual flow rates were substantially better than prognosed, given the conservative approach to production in order to limit gas flashing in the reservoir and ensure the best quality PVT samples, which bodes well for future SMD development in the Ahpun Field.

hTTps://polaris.brighterir.com/public/pantheon_resources/news/rns/story/r7lm97x
As was the case with Lee Keeling & Associates ("LKA") which recently updated its IER on the Alkaid horizon of the Ahpun field, CGA has evaluated the economics of the best estimate or 2C case. Based on an ANS Crude price of $80 per barrel delivered to the US West Coast, CGA estimates the net present value of the total contingent resources in the western topsets in the Ahpun field (using a real discount rate of 10%) at $1.74 billion."

Morning all,

Delighted to see further strength in the share price this morning.

My takeaway from the AGM was the impression that Pantheon becoming a serious producer has moved significantly further forward with Maxโ€™s appointment. For anyone thatโ€™s met him, thereโ€™s no doubt that heโ€™s on top of his game and a very credible individual.

He spent some time discussing capital efficiency in production which was music to my ears because it keeps our breakevens competitive in an environment of increasing costs pressures. It was mentioned that they are looking to develop their own Pantheon specific supply chains in order to avoid having to compete with other North Slope producers for services. That all feeds in to the effort to keep overheads down - itโ€™s too easy for costs to creep up which puts a drag on cash flow and impairs profitability and shareholder returns.

For the first time I can realistically see us as a producer which absolutely makes us a very attractive takeover target. The next quarterโ€™s worth of flow-testing activity will define us in that respect.

If successful I can see us developing the Megrez / Aphun East area first (subject to regulatory approvals) simply because these wells should be cheaper and throw off cash quicker.

We know that the Alkaid area wells are capable of producing the gas required by the GSA once that comes into play and it may be that the Megrez / Aphun East reservoirs may be able to produce the gas as well.

In my mind the another big question is what happens with Kodiak. Iโ€™d like to see further appraisal up in the chimney area, ideally before we begin producing in Aphun. At present Iโ€™m finding it difficult to value this field without ascribing some heroic assumptions to chances of commercial success. At the moment itโ€™s all blue sky and this is possibly one of the main reasons why the share price does not match what we may consider to be fair value.

Regards,

The Priest

Hi, first post here. Nice friendly place!

This got posted on the UK board. It's from a guy called Flight who runs an excellent investment service and produces impressive interviews relating to Pantheon. But this is a bit of possible info that just adds to to story - it keeps getting better and better!

"Now, nothing within Geo politics is EVER a given right. So read with caution but...

My friend Contrarian8888 posted this morning in Flights Investment Server a message from a contact:

From a Hedge fund friend who's very active with Japan. BTW you saw Trump talking yesterday in the oval about how 'we have to defend Japan and they don't have to do anything to help us' bashing. This is about the METI minister who is coming next week to talk about what presents to give Trump to hold off on the worst of the tariffs. I will meet them next week in NYC as well. They appear to have put together a huge package for this natural gas pipeline in Alaska as the centerpiece of their offering, with the requisite trading cos all in with their banks. Sounds like good news for PANR."

There is quite a bit to consider in the Meg 1 flow test update, which I believe reflects a more conservative approach to communications, as expected of a company transitioning from explorer to producer

Trying to unpick and connect the reservoir information, I come up with

Lower Sagavanirktok (3) High permeability, in the range of 1 Darcy, so in the upper range of quoted 200- 2000 barrels flow

Lower Sagavanirktok (2) High permeability, in the range of 1 Darcy, so in the upper range of quoted 200- 2000 barrels flow

Lower Sagavanirktok (1) High permeability, but possibly lower than the range of 1 Darcy, so in the upper range of quoted 200- 2000 barrels flow

Upper Prince Creek In the conventional range with a lower Darcy, but still a high flow candidate

Lower Prince Creek In the conventional range with a lower Darcy, but still a high flow candidate

Although the combined net pay of the Sagavanirktoks at 670' supports decent volumetrics, the areal extent is not yet known. The areal extents and variations in depth/rock volume, will, as advised previously by PANR, require extensive reinterpretation of currently held seismic data, retuned/informed by the known properties encountered by the drill itself

Reasoning
PANR state โ€œLower Sagavanirktok formations, even exceeding a Darcy in the shallowest horizons.โ€ I interpret the plural horizons to mean at least 2 of the Sagavanirktok formations exceed 1 Darcy

โ€œwhile the permeabilities improve significantly in the shallower Prince Creek and Lower Sagavanirktok formations, even exceeding a Darcy in the shallowest horizons.โ€ Logic dictates that significantly improved permeabilities in the 5 reservoirs within Prince Creek and Lower Sagavanirktok reservoirs, separate them out as true conventionals

Note, We have been advised, the 200 to 2000bbl range is based on a potential, not the specifics of individual tests. IMO this is part of the framing, to set investor expectations to match the intent
โ€œThe Company has designed its flow test programme to prioritise data quality rather than seeking to maximise initial flow rates in order to accentuate the understanding of the reservoirs to optimise future appraisal and development.โ€

Beyond the 5 conventional reservoirs stacked above, the deeper Upper Schrader Bluff TS1 and TS3 are more aligned with Ahpun West, being in the tight conventional range, and requiring horizontals and multi stage fracking to be economic. Disappointing at first glance as conventional was the expectation.
But before discounting these to much, consider how successful the Ahpun West flow test was, a single stage fracture in the vertical, yielded an average of 45 bopd, which culminated in a valuation by IER CGA, of $1.74 billion for 282 million barrels of oil and NGLs.

Then consider in Megez 1 these tight conventionals are expected to be at the bottom of the range 200 to 2000bpd, considerably higher than the 45 bopd at the successful Alkaid 2 SMDB test
Also bear in mind PANR have stuck with โ€œPrevious guidance still stands for the Upper Schrader Bluff and Prince Creek potentialโ€ , Making these 4 reservoirs a hybrid of conventional and tight conventional, with current guidance of 700 to 900mbbls of recoverable liquids

PTHRF,,,Straight from the RNS on the Sales Precedent Agreement in June 2024 - note the units - mm = million, m = thousands and I dont know what fc is - cf = cubic feet. So the initial agreement is to supply up to 0.5 bcfd (half a billion cubic feet per day). For reference LNG Canada which is close to exporting its first cargo is a 14 million tons per year facility producing from 2 trains. That requires about 2 bcfd of gas . Alaska LNG I think is a 20 million ton per year facility requiring up to 3.5 bcfd of gas.

PTHRF,,,very good summary from "limppaddy" on Discord chat,,
Can only judge 2022 based on my biased perception:
- Operational issues with flow tests at Alkaid-2 (sand blockage) &lower than expected crude oil flow rates
- Question marks because of large amount of gas associated & potential disposal costs (i.e. injection wells)
- Question marks on large NGL vs. Oil & what this means in terms of commercial potential
- Suboptimal funding strategy, i.e. immediate need to raise money post flow tests
- Negative effects of our tanking share price (quarterly debt payments paid in stocks, i.e. more dilution at lower price)
- Question marks because of management selling shares (~10% of their holdings) prior to flow tests
- Massive shorter attack on the stock spinning all of the above into an easy-to-sell narrative "Corrupt management sold holdings instead of raising money because they knew this is completely uncommercial"

Very tough time for all investors, but management fully turned it around and rebuild trust:
- They did a post-mortem of the flow tests & they tested a new design which showed 2x of the frac efficiency is achievable and horizontal laterals can be twice as long, i.e. flow rates can easily be 4x of initial test
- They clarified that NGLs can be sold through TAPS and get 90% of the value that ANS crude oil gets, i.e. little economic difference between oil vs. NGL
- They calculated the full development plan and identified that despite gas injection wells, this project has great returns
- They are working on turning gas from a problem into an asset (i.e. sales via proposed gasline)
- DH and mgmt. participated in all capital raises
- They paid some debt payments in cash to avoid predictability for shorters
- They improved communication and simplified the story, e.g. now we have Kodiak and Ahpun instead of 10 different names
- They bought leases for Ahpun East, which now turns out to be a massive oil accumulation with likely much better flow rates than Ahpun West (which was already commercial)

PTHRF,,, the Alaska LNG Gasline Project has been in the works for a few decades - to access that enormous stranded resource. And that single resource from one field is not the only gas resource on the North Slope. It is published by the Alaska Department of Natural Resources that the gas resource of the North Slope is over 250 Trillion Cubic Feet. So basically the economics of the Gasline are not lacking for a gas supply. The steel Gasline will turn to rust before they can deplete the resources.

Trump ~ Modi February 15, 2025

Why gas rather than oil could be route to raising Indiaโ€™s energy imports from US

https://indianexpress.com/article/business/india-us-energy-ties-donald-trump-pm-narendra-modi-meeting-9835540/

India and the United States have agreed to take steps towards making Washington โ€œa leading supplier of oil and gas to Indiaโ€, which could help bridge the trade deficit between the two countries, US President Donald Trump said after his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Washington Thursday.

Thanks bro. Good to see the board starting to look lively. Here's a couple of maps to remind us what we own.

Very good meeting with India's Prime Minister Modi as well. Extolling the natural gas reserves in the US in what looks to be another lucrative trade deal.

To clarify, a key extract from the previous link and post:

" David Hobbs, Executive Chairman of Pantheon Resources, said: "It is very early to put estimates on the Ahpun Field's eastern conventional reservoir accumulations but preliminary analysis to include the additional five zones beyond the pre-drill prognosis hints at a best estimate of expected ultimate recoveries for the entire Ahpun field that may compete with Kodiak field estimates.

"The commercial significance of the Megrez-1 well will be better understood once all the zones are tested but the belief shown by Bob Rosenthal and the Geoscience team in this prospect has been fully vindicated."
