BASF said Tuesday that it has managed to produce several
chemical intermediates with a lower carbon footprint than the
market average.
The German chemical company said it had analyzed the greenhouse
gas emissions associated with the intermediate substances it
produces from fossil fuels. It now offers five low-carbon products:
tert-Butylamine, formic and propionic acids, 1,6-Hexanediol and
neopentyl glycol, the company said.
BASF said it would make the carbon data available to its
customers with emissions-reduction targets and net-zero goals.
