                ALLIED GOLD LIMITED ("ALLIED" OR "THE COMPANY")


                                ISSUE OF EQUITY



The Company announces that a total of 500,000 Fully Paid Ordinary Shares were
issued pursuant to an exercise options at $0.50 per share. The Shares will rank,
pari passu, with all existing ordinary shares, and trading of the Shares on AIM
is expected to commence on 14 March.


This brings the total shares on issue to 357,186,554 and total Options over
Ordinary Shares to 7,023,261, approximately 1.97% of the issued share capital.
