Further to an announcement on 22 August 2001, all the conditions to acquire a
10.5% interest in WA 226 P from Cadex Petroleum Pty Limited have today been
satisfied.  Admission of the 4 million ordinary shares issued as consideration
will become effective and dealings will commence on AIM on 17 January 2001.
