CALA plc announces that application has been made for admission to the Official
List by the London Stock Exchange of 268,380 Ordinary shares of 5p each on 9
June 1999.  These shares which rank pari passu with the existing shares in issue
will be allotted from time to time in accordance with the Executive Share Option
Scheme.
