PITTSBURGH, Feb. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Duquesne Light Holdings is pleased to report that the company has been notified by the Internal Revenue Service that six synthetic fuel facilities, originally constructed and now operated by subsidiary Duquesne Energy Solutions, were determined to be properly placed into service in order to earn tax credits related to the production and sale of non-conventional fuels. A Feb. 14 letter from the IRS states that, after further review, all six synthetic fuel facilities were placed in service before June 30, 1998.
